Manitoba Blue Cross is looking for an experienced writer with a talent for producing on-brand content designed to assist audiences through their health care journey.
As the senior corporate communications coordinator, you will play a strategic role in the development and execution of our communications strategy. You must be an excellent writer and critical thinker with the ability to create targeted content that resonates with a variety of different audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements communications strategy that aligns with our mission to improve the health and well-being of Manitobans.
- Supports the development of engagement strategies to enhance customer experience.
- Writes, reviews, edits and sources diverse content types for a variety of different platforms and audiences in support of corporate initiatives.
- Maintains and enhances Manitoba Blue Cross's reputation and brand, and ensures accountability, accuracy and consistency in communications.
- Supports external public relations at the corporate level and serves as a point of contact for media.
- Collaborates with the creative team to ensure brand consistency and supports content creation for promotional materials.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years experience in senior communications position with portfolio of work provided upon request.
- University degree/college diploma in English, communications, marketing or similar field.
- Demonstrates excellence in writing, proofreading and editing.
- Demonstrates understanding of public relations, content marketing fundamentals and social networking communications.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze complex issues, identify potential outcomes of various communication scenarios and make recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with the development and/or sourcing of health and wellness content is an asset.
- Experience with corporate video production is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 suite is an asset.
