The Role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft compelling written content that resonates with ApplyBoard's numerous target audiences across various mediums and formats, including but not limited to, website copy, blogs, whitepapers, eBooks, webinars, reports, case studies, testimonials, and presentations
  • Utilize content to establish ApplyBoard as a thought-leader within the EdTech landscape, building brand awareness and positively impacting operations
  • Gain a deep understanding of the international education landscape and ApplyBoard's operations to develop relevant and informed content
  • Pull and analyze large amounts of raw data, making educated conclusions to craft informative, information-heavy communications including industry and study trend reports, gated eBooks, and report publications
  • Apply SEO best practices and research to optimize content
  • Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Team to turn content into various formats, providing direction on design and distribution
  • Work directly with members of our Leadership and Executive Teams to capture their tone and ghostwrite content for a variety of platforms
  • Facilitate content brainstorming sessions within Marketing and cross-functionally
  • Edit and proofread Marketing Team content
  • Provide metrics to Marketing Management on content performance, making recommendations for optimization Assist with general content creation including weekly blogging
  • Support the Director of Marketing and Marketing Communications Manager, with crisis management and communications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of professional writing and editing experience in a fast-paced environment, tech industry experience preferred
  • A college degree or university diploma in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to detail and editing ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with Management, Leadership, and Executives
  • Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills resulting in the ability to hit aggressive deadlines
  • Experience creating technical, editorial, and keyword-targeted content
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and principles
  • Strong ability to turn raw data into captivating, and engaging stories
  • Thrives in an independent work environment with the ability to problem-solve and manage
  • Ability to work well under pressure while producing high-quality work
