Sales Analyst, Walmart

OVERVIEW :

As the Sales Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Direct Division Team, focused on the Walmart account. The Sales Analyst will liaise with cross-functional teams to provide business presentation tools, advanced analytics, and sales reports with fact-based insights and solutions to help drive business growth through superior process capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work within customer specific tools and other syndicated data portals to provide advanced analytics, uncover trends/themes and business drivers to identify actionable solutions
  • Compile weekly business snapshots, track new product launches and promotion effectiveness (sales performance, lifts, ROI etc.) through Post Event Analysis
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain cross functional team members to make recommended forecast adjustments driven by insights through POS trend analysis
  • Build trusted relationships with customer accounts, specifically customer Category and E-commerce Analysts
  • Take leadership in the e-commerce side of the customer account, helping to grow the business through advanced reporting, insights, solutions and recommendations to meet company e-commerce objectives
  • Provide timely response to Account Team requests with an experienced, detail-oriented, fact-based approach to problem solving and identifying key opportunities
  • Take full autonomy on managing customer scorecards and identify any issues based on scores received, providing actionable insights to solve
  • Leverage key tools and resources (customer POS/AC Nielsen) to develop account specific business presentations (internal/external) aligned to the needs as identified by the Account Team
  • Responsible for miscellaneous administrative support (ie. New item forms, item maintenance, deal sheets, coordination of sample orders, field rep priorities documents, preparing/scheduling of courier shipments, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • University or College Degree in Business-related discipline (Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance), combined with a minimum 2-3 years of sales analytical experience
  • Highly proficient with Walmart Retail Link or managed large Retailer POS Tools/Data
  • Advanced Excel level, and strong skills within AC Nielsen, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams. Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Detail oriented with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced multi-tasker capable of working on several projects at the same time, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to accuracy and quality of data, and diligent in seeking accurate and reliable source data
  • On time delivery of key reporting tools with ability to continually seek to improve existing processes and tools
  • Ability to collaborate, take initiative, be decisive, communicate and work well within a team environment
