The Marketing, Sales and Business Development department has an exciting opportunity for a Membership and Marketing Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning and implementation of activities related to the membership strategy at the Royal BC Museum. This includes all facets of administering an active membership program; including daily direct member engagement, program administration, marketing activations and evaluation of the effectiveness of the program and timely reporting. The successful candidate will guide the creation and implementation of member marketing communications; oversees fulfillment of online, mail and phone membership sales; participate with philanthropic membership activations; acts as first point of contact for member enquiries and ultimately, grow the program and generates revenue through membership sales and retention.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Ideally, you will have formal education in marketing, communications, membership, and/or fundraising. You have an extensive record of effectiveness as a sales person; preferably with a non-profit organization and/or a member
  • supported organization, along with two years direct experience in marketing or public relations; planning events and managing budgets.
  • Your creativity, enthusiasm and confident nature enables you to succeed in a team environment to reach organizational goals while your results orientation and ability to demonstrate initiative ensures the job gets done and that goals are met.
  • You will possess a high degree of flexibility, the ability to manage multiple projects at once and refocus priorities; and willingness to travel and work flexible hours/days as required. This position is also highly administrative and requires a strong attention to detail.

This is a bargaining unit position and the successful candidate will become a member of the BC Government Employee's Union (BCGEU). The current salary range for this position is noted above. New employees to the Public Service will be appointed at the first step (Step 1) in the salary range.

  • Salary/Wage: $54,933. to $62,319. Annually
