Reporting to the Communications Director, Beauty Sector, the Communications Manager will develop and lead brand communications for P&G Canada's Beauty categories. They will develop and execute high-impact, innovative communication strategies, campaigns and content that drive brand awareness and loyalty. The individual will manage and execute PR programs, including media and social media outreach, leveraging spokespersons, and serving as a P&G spokesperson. This role will include developing local PR strategic direction, working with Brand on briefing PR agencies, evaluating pitches to meet business needs, and managing the execution of PR campaigns. The individual will also cultivate strong relationships with key external influencers such as editors, digital influencers, media partners, and other category stakeholders.

The role is based out of the P&G Canada General Office in Toronto at Yonge Street and Sheppard Ave. This

is a full-time position starting on September 8 th , 2020.

As the Communications

Manager, Beauty Sector, you will be responsible for:

Brand PR

  • Overall strategic direction, development and execution of brand communication campaigns for key priorities in the Beauty categories.
  • Work with Brand & PR agencies to
  • conceptualize, lead and execute paid-owned-earned media and social media campaigns by identifying media trends, news cycles and content opportunities to drive print, online, digital and social SOV.
  • Set goals, outline KPIs and analyze
  • performance of all influencer paid and earned campaigns.
  • Work closely with Brand managers, Global Communications Managers, news media,
  • and digital influencers.
  • Extensive interaction with PR agencies
  • is required.
  • Manage issues and crises as
  • needed.

Stakeholder Development

  • Develop and maintain 3rd party relationships (i.e. charities, associations, alliances, spokespeople) and leverage these relationships via integrated marketing campaigns.

Operational Management and Collaboration:

  • Manage
  • budget and other operational duties, such as requesting 3rd party contracts and approving invoices.
  • Responsible
  • for agencies' understanding and adherence to P&G's operational process.
  • Maintain
  • an understanding of operational process as it relates to accounting, invoicing, planning, communicating results, executing programs, and P&G preferred suppliers (news releases, tracking coverage etc).

  • Bachelor's
  • or Master's degree
  • Minimum
  • of 5 years' experience in PR/Communications is required
  • Experience
  • in the CPG industry is a strong asset
