The Destination Marketing and Events Advisor (DMEA) at Swoop will be responsible for the succe ssful planning, execution, reporting and management of co
- operative destination marketin g in support of travel recovery and business growth. Reporting to the Marketing Team Lead , the Destination Marketing and Events Advisor will play a key role in the successful restart of service, launch of new routes and engagement of travellers in the communities we serve. You'll build and maintain positive relationships with airport partners and tourism boards and identify opportunities for innovative co-operative marketing partnerships.
You'll work closely with our in-house agency and Marketing and Digital SMEs to develop destination marketing campaign ideas , activate route support budgets and deliver high-value, multi-channel campaigns that promot e Swoop's ever-expanding list of destinations. You will work closely with the Marketing Team Lead to establish and negotiat e co
- operative agreements that align to the overarching marketing plan and calendar. You'll partner with digital marketing and paid media SMEs to ensure optimal campaign integration , accurate budget/result attribution and delivery of simple proof-of-performance reporting.
Roles and r esponsibilities:
Oversee the relaunch of Swoop service across our networ k as we scale our operation up in the coming months
I dentifying ways to innovate on the typical ?airline inaugural'
- executing impactful celebrations that are safe, sensitive to public health guidance and sentiment and deliver meaningful business results
I dentify ways to engage or re-engage travellers in the communities we serve / grow to serve through local sponsorships, virtual events and co-operative destination marketing campaigns.
Build , manage and expand relationships with airport partners , tourism boards, hotels, airport authorities
Development and deliver on strategies to maximize marketing incentive dollars in service of our commercial objectives (revenue, awareness), offset marketing costs and amplify Swoop brand and demand campaigns
Negotiate, plan, forecast, execute, track and report on all co-operative destination marketing activities with the support of Marketing and Digital SMEs
Represent Swoop at key industry events, educating on Swoop's ULCC offering, networking with destination partners and fostering new relationships and opportunities for collaboration in pursuit of common goals
Work closely with the Digital and Revenue & Pricing SMEs to identify needs and opportunities for route support activation of co-op marketing funds
Enable and optimize the marketing strategy for the relaunch and expansion of Swoop Getaways, working closely with the Marketing Team Lead and Sales & Distribution SMEs
Provide strategic marketing support to the Sales and Distribution team on initiatives including Travel Agent Engagement, Groups Incentives, Meta/OTA enablement, etc.
Brief Swoop's in-house creative agency to plan and produce creative and compelling destination marketing campaign s , trafficking creative and approvals through partners as required
Continually i dentify and enable opportunities to increase revenue , engage new audience segments and improve the performance of destination marketing processes at Swoop
Qualifications and skills :
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced Marketing environment managing projects, running campaigns, planning events and/or activating events and sponsorship
Knowledge of the travel (airlines, hotels), service (mobile, banks) or dynamic fast-moving consumer goods or digital environments a major advantage
Experience managing budgets large and small to deliver big resul ts (awareness, engagement, revenue generation)
Strong communication, presentation and networking skills and experience in working with people at all levels from peer to president
Able to multi-task, move quickly and effectively and consistently perform under tight deadlines;
A highly organized self-starter with the ability to produce quality work in an ever-changing business and a strong desire to use your initiative and take accountability for your work.
Fluent written, spoken and reading capability in English (French and Spanish a considerable asset )
Highly motivated to succeed with energy and enthusiasm;
Commercial acumen and strong n egotiation skills;
R emote, work from role requiring a strong internet connection and effective virtual collaboration and project management
May be r equired to travel up to 3 0% and/or represent Swoop virtually at relevant industry conferences and engagements
