The Communications Coordinator, Manitoba Moose will assist in creation of fresh and current written
content supporting the Manitoba Moose brand.
What to be excited for in this role:
- Tell the Manitoba Moose story with interesting and compelling written content for internal and
external publications.
- Live tweet and write game recaps for all Manitoba Moose home and away games.
- Be present for all Manitoba Moose home games and live stream road games.
- Manage post-game Manitoba Moose players' and coaches' media scrums.
- Contribute to the execution of the Manitoba Moose social media strategy.
- Work in a creative team environment allowing for collaboration and innovation.
What we need from you:
- A combination of experience and educational background with an emphasis on communications
and/or public relations.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to write creatively and succinctly.
- Ability to perform tasks during stressful fast-paced public situations while maintaining composure.
Ability to be ?on? even after busy days.
- Knowledge of social media best practices will be considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of additional Adobe Creative Suite programs.
- Responsible team member with capacity to meet objectives and required timelines.
- Ability to work with the utmost of discretion and confidentiality with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of hockey and hockey statistics.
- Pleasant character and professional appearance.
- Willingness to work a variety of hours that include days, evenings, and weekends.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation to be able to travel between home
facility and the practice facility when needed.
Due to the nature of the sports and entertainment industry where indoor public assembly takes place, it is True
North's expectation that all employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by August 31, 2021 in a manner
