We have an exciting opportunity in our Marketing Function. This role is based out of our Mississauga Head Office location (60% in-office, 40% remote).

General Summary

The Marketing Brand Contractor is a 12-18M Contract Position and will have the opportunity to work on exciting portfolios related to Campbell's Meals & Beverage and/or Snacks, Brands including but not limited to Prego® Sauces, Pace® Salsa & Sauces, V8®, Pretzel Crisps®, Cape Cod®, Snyder's of Hanover® and or Kettle® Brand. The selected candidate will be supporting the Brand Teams in achieving department and companywide objectives. The core responsibilities include launching innovation, executing best in class advertising plans and analyzing data to help set future strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage Execution of Advertising plans (Integrated Marketing Communications)

  • Provide brand/business context to integrated agency team from briefing to execution to help inform strong plans
  • Lead process management of integrated marketing communication (IMC) plans, including managing timeline and ensuring key milestones are met
  • Collaborate closely with agencies and internal media team to lead execution of best-in-class marketing activations, ensuring the voice of the consumer and brand are represented
  • Understand how various elements of the plan work together, and share out plans with broader organization on a routine basis

Lead New Product Launches (Innovation)

  • Own the development and presentation of innovation business cases to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure key milestones (gating) of commercialization process are achieved, while understanding the broader picture of what is needed to drive innovation success
  • Track innovation performance, and advise on support plans as needed to meet objectives

Contribute to Delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (Business Management)

  • Derive information from a variety of data sources (consumer research, competitive reviews, digital analytics, Nielsen) and turn them into actionable insights
  • Own the management of budget, ensuring spend is efficient, and provide ongoing forecasting and management
  • Provide inputs to broader team throughout Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process (consumption, innovation tracking, market trends)
  • Contribute to the development of strategic business plans (Strategic Brand Planning)
  • Provide support and engage in various culture building initiatives and activities aligned to strategic objectives

COMPLEXITY & SCOPE

  • Help deliver net sales ($80-$200M) share and profit targets
  • Influences broad cross-functional team internally (Marketing, Insights, Sales, Finance, Research & Development, Supply Chain,) as well as external stakeholders (Agency partners)
  • Drives alignment with key Marketing decision makers (Senior Brand Managers, Director of Marketing, Vice President of Marketing as needed)
  • Works directly with US Brand Managers to drive?North?American?alignment where possible?
  • Key Decisions owned in this role: Budget, Consumption Reporting/Analysis
  • Key Advisor on: Integrating Marketing Plans, Innovation, Brand Strategies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: An undergraduate university degree is required, commerce degree is considered an asset

Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience, Consumer Packaged Goods background preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Behaviors:

  • 1-2 years of using Neilson on a regular basis is highly considered for this role.
  • Passionate about the role and accountable for the outcomes
  • Effective project management skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
