We are looking for a Coordinator to join our Corporate Communications team in Toronto. This is a key support role in the corporate offices of the company and the selected candidate will work collaboratively within the Canaccord Genuity Group to support the delivery and continuous advancement of diverse internal and external communications projects. The ideal candidate will have exceptional copywriting and computer skills and demonstrated experience working in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and distribution of key communication materials including press releases, scripts, internal announcements, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordination of quarterly conference call and webcast logistics
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners and take initiative to ensure that projects remain on track for timely completion
  • Assist with the creative development, scheduling, production, and delivery of the company's annual report, ESG report, and related disclosures
  • Manage updates on internal and external websites and social media platforms
  • Liaise between teams to gather information and perform fact-checking to ensure that quarterly and annual reporting obligations are met in an accurate and thorough manner
  • Leverage monitoring tools to monitor daily global, traditional, and social media and prepare weekly and quarterly media monitoring reports
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships with internal and external providers, including newswire and regulatory filing services
  • Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our framework
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties (invoice processing, meeting coordination, team calendar management, etc.).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years related work experience in a corporate environment, ideally with a TSX-listed company
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing written, visual, and digital communications
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) are an absolute requirement
  • While a financial designation is not required, candidates should demonstrate curiosity and a keen desire to learn
  • Professional demeanor to deal effectively with senior Corporate Communications, Legal and Finance team members, as well as external vendors and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet project or financial reporting demands
  • A high degree of sensitivity and discretion in dealing with confidential and proprietary matters
