We pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced Prepress Operator with advanced graphic design skills to join our team.

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for preparing files for print, ensuring high-quality output, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the prepress process. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our customer service and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and preflight files for print, ensuring they meet all specifications and quality standards.

- Perform color corrections, image editing, and other adjustments to optimize print quality.

- Create and edit layouts, ensuring accuracy and consistency with client specifications.

- Graphic design for seamless transitions from digital design to printed materials.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to prepress processes, including file errors and equipment malfunctions.

- Maintain an organized archive of all prepress files and associated documentation.

- Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and new technologies to continually improve processes and output quality.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design and prepress roles within a commercial printing environment.

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant graphic design software.

- Strong understanding of printing processes and file preparation techniques including color separations and resolution requirements for both digital and offset print.

- Understand how to prepare files for CMYK printing, including converting RGB images to CMYK.

- Knowledge of color theory, color profiles and tools to manage color consistency.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors in digital files.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge of various file formats and their appropriate uses in the printing process.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with variable data printing and digital print technologies.

- Familiarity with RIP software and imposition software.

- Knowledge of Design Merge

- Certification or formal training in graphic design or a related field.

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
