About the Role:

?Do you have a deep love for the outdoors, adventure sports, and camping? Do you also consider yourself a G-suite wizard who thrives on making all the pieces come together to make things happen? Yama Vans is searching for a Marketing & Sales Coordinator to be the backbone of our marketing and sales initiatives. In this role, you'll help ensure every marketing activation aligns with our brand and resonates with our adventure-seeking community. You'll be the essential link that guarantees the smooth execution of all our exciting marketing and sales initiatives for product and market expansion.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Flawless Execution: Ensure the seamless execution of all events and photoshoots.
  • Market & Performance Insights: Compile market research, forecasts, campaign results, and consumer trends.

  • Content Generation: Support with content creation for social media, blog, and email marketing to support brand and lead generation strategies.

  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in lead capture and qualifying.

The Role Will Include:

  • Photoshoot Coordination: Manage the coordination and logistics of photoshoot timelines, locations, props/inventory, and models.
  • Event Coordination: Manage the coordination and logistics of internal/external events by preparing assets, representing Yama Vans at events, handling setup/takedown, and following up with leads generated.
  • Sales Support: Support the lead qualification process for sales.
  • Data Capture and Reporting: Gather data from various sources to inform marketing and sales strategies.
  • Content Creation: Engage in copywriting for blogs and emails, and limited photography and videography (most production is handled by our media partners)
  • Market and Client Research: Conduct research to inform product and strategy development.
  • Campaign Execution: Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.

?Skills:

  • Copywriting.
  • Basic graphic design.
  • Basic photography/videography.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Project management.
  • Experience in marketing coordination or a similar role that requires a high level of organization.
  • Event coordination experience is an asset.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital, content marketing, and social media marketing.

Requirements:

  • Passion for the outdoors, adventure sports and/or camping.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a Marketing-related role.
  • Clean driving record and comfortable driving 4X4 vehicles.
  • 25+ years of age (insurance requirement for driving the vans).
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings to support events.
  • Competent in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) or similar programs.

This position is offered under the Youth Employment Program through IRAP. To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 15 to 30 years at the start of the internship.
  • A post-secondary graduate.
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person granted refugee status in Canada.
  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations.
  • A first-time participant in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates.

Information:

  • $50k - $60k annual salary
  • 40 hours per week.
