As a communications expert, you’ll play a proactive advisory role to the Information Technology sector, a specific internal client, which will be your main partner. Day to day, you will draft and produce communication tools and content to support various IT needs, such as the deployment of new technological tools, digital security prevention, software management, system upgrades, etc.

Working closely with your colleagues, you will contribute to the mission of facilitating, for all iA users, the understanding and adoption of optimal technological behaviors.. You will also have the opportunity to help develop the company’s internal communications practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reliable and proactive advisory services, with the broadest possible perspective, primarily to the internal clients assigned to you, but also for other projects, depending on the advising team’s capacity
  • Work closely with the managers of your internal clientele to assess their communication needs and propose a suitable combination of advice and support
  • Identify and analyze internal target audiences and determine the best communication strategies for informing, mobilizing and engaging with them
  • Anticipate the internal communication needs of internal clients under your responsibility by identifying opportunities and challenges
  • Develop, suggest and implement communication plans and tools adapted to the needs of corporate functions and business segments, while considering how they align with the organization’s priorities
  • Create and deliver communication tools and activities that help convey relevant messages to different internal groups (with, as required, the assistance of different internal and external resources whose work you will coordinate/supervise)
  • Write content, adapting messages and tone to suit the specific medium and communication channel
  • Maintain efficient and proactive liaison with other partners who serve assigned clients (PATC, change management advisors, etc.)
  • Contribute to the Senior Advisor’s projects and campaigns
  • Help strategize and develop various internal events

Also, as a member of the Internal Communications team, you will have the opportunity to help build and advance iA’s internal communications practices and you will be expected to:

  • Work closely with other team members to harmonize and optimize the impact of stakeholder strategies and counter information overload
  • Ensure the consistency of internal, cross-functional communications and make sure they align with organizational priorities
  • Work closely with the practice leader to develop communication models, processes and tools that advance the aim of creating a culture of communication throughout the organization
  • Collaborate, as needed, on developing and implementing activities or tools for members of the internal communications community of practice
  • Promote and help maintain and protect the company’s brand image and quality standards
  • Track and analyze the performance of various communication activities carried out under your leadership and suggest appropriate improvements
  • Monitor trends and innovations in organizational communications

Desired profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or another relevant field
  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience in an advisory role in the communications field
  • Excellent ability to analyze, synthesize and explain complex matters in plain language
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficiency in the communications tools SharePoint and Microsoft 365
  • Political acumen, good judgment and the ability to reconcile the interests and contributions of different stakeholders
  • Curiosity, empathy and strong team spirit
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal and external French- and English-speaking colleagues or partners across Canada and the United States
