Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive the growth of our Industrial Products division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background in the indusial chemicals industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

The Sales Director - Industrial Division is responsible for overseeing the sales strategy, managing the sales team, developing and implementing sales initiatives, and maximizing sales opportunities within the industrial chemicals market.

What you will do

  • Sales Growth Strategy and Product Line Management:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in the industrial chemicals market.
  • Identify new market opportunities, analyze industry trends, and implement strategic initiatives to expand the customer base and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales objectives with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the product development team to enhance the existing product line and introduce new products based on market demands and customer feedback.
Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry influencers, and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, teamwork, and accountability within the sales team.
Coaching and Development:
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales team, assisting them in improving their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set individual sales targets, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends, and provide relevant training and resources to enhance the sales team's effectiveness.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the sales department's annual budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitoring expenditure to achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • Track and analyze sales data, prepare sales forecasts, and report on sales performance to the executive team.
Health and Safety (H/F):
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment within the sales department.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures, and conduct regular safety training for the sales team.
What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering in an asset.
  • Proven experience as a sales director or sales manager in the chemical products industry
  • Strong knowledge of the industrial chemical products market, including industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the wood products industry.
  • Available driving license.
