We are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to work within our Marketing team and alongside other key business units. You will be responsible for all our email marketing activities with a focus on customer loyalty, retention and lifecycle. You will utilize our databases and CRM platform to drive repeat and cross-sell behavior while collaborating on the design and execution of campaign strategy and seek new technology platforms that drive efficiency. The base salary for this role is: $50,000 - $80,000 CDN

What You'll do:

  • Own the email and Lifecycle marketing program execution, including segmentation, targeting, set-up, testing, proofing, reporting, and optimization in a timely & accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with product, creative, marketing, and Growth Marketing teams to determine email content, creative execution, tone, launch campaigns, and perform A/B testing to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Hand-code CSS/HTML for responsive email design and SQL for segmentation and targeting.
  • Manage email automation for content, strategy, funnel and execution (including potential PUSH and SMS).
  • Establish and enforce global email campaign deployment rules and restrictions.
  • Approve all sends/automations before scheduling.
  • Own the email calendar, creative briefing, testing plans, and prioritization.
  • Interpret client data to identify triggers and behaviors for lifecycle changes, increasing retention, adoption, reduce churn and overall customer LTV.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and long-term reporting, offering strategic recommendations and tests based on performance.
  • Improve KPIs: open rate, deliverability, click rate, opt-out rate, conversion rate, revenue, and specific campaign goals.
  • Lead email campaign initiatives with a strong understanding of best practices and a desire to increase product engagement for future and existing customers.
  • Thrive in high-volume, fast-paced, and feedback-driven environments.

What You'll Need:

  • Proficient in HTML/CSS for responsive email design.
  • Experienced in Liquid coding for dynamic content and personalization.
  • Strong SQL skills for segmentation, targeting, and data analysis.
  • Competent in email automation, including PUSH, SMS, and deployment rules enforcement.
  • Skilled in calendar management, cross-team collaboration, and reporting.
  • Driven to improve email KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and customer marketing results.
  • Leadership in email marketing initiatives, acquisition strategies, and problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of CRM/Loyalty experience and/or database marketing and analysis experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of tools such as SQL, CSS, HTML, Google Analytics, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Intercom, Braze, Sendgrid, and CRM/Email deployment tools is nice to have.
  • Demonstrated ability to define opportunities, analyze data, and make valid conclusions.
  • Innovative thinker capable of strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit and proactive project leadership.
