The Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (ECVO) is a member-based non-profit organization serving voluntary sector organizations in Metro Edmonton by supporting the growth and development of their volunteer programs and services through resources, networking, and skill development opportunities. Members of ECVO represent a wide array of subsectors, missions, and mandates each working to improve quality of life in our communities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting a creative and dynamic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our growing Communications team! The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will apply their creative graphic design skills, keen eye for brand consistency, and social media experience to uplift ECVO's brand in both internal and external communications.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be an essential member of our team with a strong ability to work collaboratively. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, this role will contribute to our communication strategy by overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes website and social media management, designing multimedia materials, and providing programs or training logistical and promotional support.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing & Communications

· Implement marketing & communication campaigns using with a variety of organic and paid acquisition methods including content creation and curation, pay per click campaigns, social media, lead generating campaigns, and performance analysis;

· Manage ECVO's social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and others) including the design and scheduling of daily social media posts;

· Effectively increase ECVO's online presence by monitoring and engaging with members & external stakeholders through ECVO's social media platforms;

· Analyze online interactions and adjust advertising, marketing or communication approaches accordingly;

· Monitor and maintain distribution lists;

· Lead the development and distribution of ECVO's newsletters including designing, scheduling, and compiling resources and sector related information;

· Identify opportunities for enhanced multimedia efforts that will increase engagement

and build ECVO brand awareness;

· Design multimedia content in collaboration with the ECVO team members to promote

ECVO programs, services and training opportunities;

· Create and edit multimedia materials to be used by ECVO in general

communications, print, or within our learning opportunities. Examples of these materials may include:

o Videos

o Podcasts

o Voice over animation

o Infographics

o And other media

· Support the Alberta Community Support Network (ACSN) communication initiatives such as:

o Social media management

o Website management

o Other communication initiatives as required;

· Update and monitor ECVO's website, LMS, and CRM as required to ensure consistent performance, identify improvement areas, and assist with providing relevant and accurate information, and brand identity;

· Support ECVO's internal and external communications by creating templates, report design, graphics, and using brand guidelines that provide consistent branding across the organization; and,

· Work in collaboration with the Communications team to support other ongoing communication initiatives as required, such as SharePoint creation, meeting support, and proof reading.

Organizational Supports

· Support the development and logistis for events such as training sessions, networking opportunities or informational gatherings;

· Implement essential logistics for events which may include:

o Creating event registration

o Coordinating online webinar or meeting links and providing technical support as required

o Organizing venue bookings for in person events

o Assisting speakers or event hosts with technical requirements

o Provide overall planning, logistic, and leadership support for the ECVO team

· Support program evaluation through data entry and collation for future planning;

· Manage ECVO's program and operating equipment such as cameras, microphones, laptops, webcams, or other equipment ensuring equipment is tracked and maintained;

· Maintain facilitation kits for off-site program or training use;

· Participate in regular staff meetings and training opportunities; and,

· Other tasks as required.

This role will require the ability to work independently and in a team environment, with the capability of balancing both.

To be successful in this role, our candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or other) although an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience (2-5 years) in a similar role would be an asset and background knowledge of tools such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, WordPress (website), MailChimp, Google Ads and Analytics, and Office 365 (Teams and SharePoint) is essential.

Salary: $52,000 - $56,000

Hours of Work: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
