Reporting to the Director, Digital & Marketing Technology, the Marketing Technology Specialist will serve as an email delivery expert and ensure data quality across the marketing technology stack. This role supports data health initiatives, collaborates with cross-functional teams on marketing technology-related data quality projects, and provides technical support to identify and rectify data quality issues. It involves leveraging marketing automation and data management tools, conducting external research, and working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders within the Firm to support special projects, while complying with the Firm's business rules, taxonomy, firm standards, and data management policies.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage regular operational data management, consistency, and integrity activities including deduplications, data standardization, cleansing, and enrichment across various sources, including financial systems
  • Facilitate regular mass uploads of supplementary data in various formats to multiple internal and external sources
  • Triage and resolve data quality issues and recommend preventive measures to maintain data integrity
  • Establish and execute periodic data audits to gauge data health and correct invalid or incomplete data across various entities and systems
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process changes, and end-user training to continuously improve the quality of our client data
  • Develop customized and segmented marketing lists for client development personnel and other Firm members
  • Leverage marketing automation tools to send out targeted marketing content
  • Generate advanced or multi-object reports that enable analyses for potential business opportunities and/or engagement
  • Oversee the Firm's CRM inbox to manage incoming correspondence by prioritizing requests and ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IS, Client Development, Training) on CRM-related data quality projects
  • Provide support, training, and end-user support in the usage and capabilities of CRM
  • Undertake special projects or assignments as requested by the Client Development team, Legal Assistants and Lawyers

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

This position requires a post-secondary degree, plus minimum three to five years of equivalent work experience as a Business Data Steward. Experience working with email marketing systems and/or CRM solutions is required, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Experience using data management tools would be considered an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) is required
  • Experience using various marketing and data governance systems and tools (CRM, ERM, CMS, ON24)
  • Knowledge of data quality management, data entry improvement, and marketing fundamentals and their business relationship to CRM platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized; the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Process-oriented and must be able to work with a high degree of detail and have high quality standards
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to use Internet research methods
  • Specific knowledge of the legal services industry is not required but would be a significant benefit

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
