We're looking for a strategic, creative, and dynamic leader to help elevate our community presence, strengthen donor relationships, and drive critical fundraising efforts to support health care across Durham Region and beyond.?

About the Role/Position Summary:

As?Senior Manager, Community Engagement, you will lead a creative and driven team of three, providing strategic oversight, mentorship, and inspiration across Events, Annual Giving, and Community Engagement portfolios. Reporting to the VP, Marketing & Community Engagement, you'll collaborate with Marketing and Philanthropy colleagues to support lead generation, donor and sponsor engagement, and community visibility. You'll be a key ambassador for Lakeridge Health Foundation, representing us at events across Durham Region and helping bring to life signature initiatives like Ride for the Ridge, NightShift, Golf Classic, and Gala. What You'll Be Doing:

Lead Generation & Community Building

  • Be the face of Lakeridge Health Foundation in the community-cultivating relationships with local businesses, leaders, and groups.?
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach with donor strategies and research.?
  • Give remarks at events or engage in planned public speaking when necessary.

Event Oversight and Strategy

  • Oversee and support the Events Officer through their execution of signature events, Ridge for the ?Ridge, NightShift, Golf Classic, Gala and supporting team members as they create memorable, mission-driven experiences for attendees and sponsors alike.?

Accelerate Annual Giving (Donors under $1,000)

  • Inspire and coach the Officer, Annual Giving as they execute a comprehensive multi-channel portfolio including direct mail, monthly, tribute, tele-fundraising, and grateful patient donors.

Refine and Grow Community Engagement

  • Inspire and support the Community Engagement Officer as they execute a focused effort to retain, grow and steward the peer-to-peer fundraising and cause-marketing portfolio.
  • Develop an overarching strategy to enhance the portfolio including new resourcing and promotion in the community.

Project Management and Additional Duties

  • Collaborate on and oversee the execution of team members' annual operating plans and corresponding budgets, regularly reviewing project expenses and status, providing leadership and feedback to direct reports.
  • Support and manage volunteers where appropriate to leverage relationships and support for the Foundation.
  • Work with Manager, Marketing & Communications to plan and strategize lottery campaigns.
  • Solicit corporate sponsorships on a case-by-case basis.

What you bring to the Role:

  • Experience & Education: 10+ years in fundraising, marketing, sales, or community engagement, with post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven success leading teams, managing complex multi-channel programs, and developing impactful fundraising and/or engagement strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Natural connector with experience in donor/sponsor solicitation, volunteer engagement, and public speaking across diverse settings.
  • Project & Program Management: Skilled in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and launching community-driven initiatives with long-term impact.
  • Passionate & Creative Thinker: innovative mindset for bold new ideas, program architect with a passion for health care and a commitment to seeing projects launch and evolve long-term.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor or customer relationship databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge); holds a valid driver's license.
