About the Role
This volunteer position plays a key role in how FSCL shows up online - sharing our work, engaging with our followers, and supporting campaigns that help FSCL meet their objectives. You'll help create and schedule content across platforms, grow our following, and ensure our communications reflect FSCL's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement FSCL's social media strategy
- Create and share accessible, engaging content on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Promote events, advocacy campaigns, and general content
- Interact with followers and respond to messages and comments
- Work with FSCL's Board and Communications Committee to align messaging and build community support
What You Bring
- You are a Strathcona County Resident
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills
- Experience managing social media platforms (or a willingness to learn)
- Creative mindset with attention to tone, accessibility, and audience engagement
- Alignment with FSCL's mission and values
Commitment & Term
4-6 hours per month, including attending occasional FSCL meetings. This is a volunteer role with a 1-year renewable term.
