Marketing and Business Development Coordinator

Must have experience in the Architecture/ Design /Construction industry

We are searching for individuals that could represent us in Canada and internationally.

Our Montreal studio is looking for a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will take charge of producing engaging visual and video content, managing our social media presence, and supporting the promotion of our projects and brand. You will collaborate closely with the design team and president and founder to help showcase our work to the world.

Here’s what this involves:

 Communications and Marketing

  • Lead the planning, production, and publishing of engaging social media content (with a strong emphasis on video) to promote the studio’s work and brand across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media calendar to ensure consistent and impactful presence across channels
  • Identify trends and propose creative concepts (e.g., reels, behind-the-scenes clips, interviews) to highlight the studio’s projects and culture
  • Organize photo shoots of completed projects: planning with photographers, coordinating with clients and teams, on-site supervision as needed
  • Design, produce, and edit compelling visual and video content that tells the story of the projects and brand
  • Occasionally write articles and content for our website, and more regularly, write posts to be shared on social media
  • Manage and coordinate design award applications: select projects, write submissions, ensure compliance with criteria and deadlines, coordinate with partners as needed
  • Prepare and coordinate Lightemotion’s participation in conferences: identify relevant events, plan logistics, handle registrations, manage presentations
  • Identify speaking or project presentation opportunities at conferences and trade shows, and prepare applications in collaboration with the team

 

Business Development

  • Contribute to market trend and opportunity research and analysis, and conduct client prospecting
  • Participate in creating presentations and documents for clients and prospects
  • Implement and adapt our 3-year Business Plan, including target markets, potential clients, and new opportunities
  • Organize and coordinate roadshows in key markets to develop client relationships
  • Ensure the accuracy of internal and external documents such as CVs, project sheets, service proposals, and targeted portfolios
  • Draft, coordinate, and ensure the quality of proposals and RFP responses, in collaboration with our team

 

Data Analysis and Collection

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Business Plan
  • Provide regular updates on progress of marketing tactics and strategic initiatives

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree in marketing, communication, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in marketing or communication, preferably in the professional services industry (an asset)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and social media management platforms
  • Ability to work independently while being a good team player
  • Fluency in French and English
