About this role:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Community Manager is to assist the Property Manager in providing the day-to-day operations of an assigned residential property in Vancouver. This position involves direct oversight of cleaning, security, maintenance, and weekend staff. With the guidance of the Community Manager, deliver exceptional tenant service, operational excellence, and property upkeep while working with site-staff and contractors to respond to tenant requests in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

About the candidate:
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in residential or commercial property management, with a strong understanding of BC's Residential Tenancy Act and building operations. A background in managing site-level teams and coordinating maintenance or capital projects is preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with sound judgment, and the ability to remain focused under pressure. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-service driven, with the ability to market suites effectively and handle day-to-day operational needs. A satisfactory criminal record check is also required due to the residential setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with platforms like Yardi Voyager and PayScan are strong assets. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends, and the physical ability to manage on-site tasks - including walking, lifting, and working in varying conditions - is essential. A background in hospitality or fluency in a second language would also be beneficial.
Compensation & Benefits:
This role offers a competitive base salary in the range of CAD $65,000-70,000, along with a discretionary bonus, extended health and dental benefits, 2 weeks of paid vacation, an RRSP matching program, and a health or wellness spending account.
