Position: Full-Time Contract

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. (37.5 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend work)
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000

This role is based in Edmonton, Alberta and occasionally requires evening and weekend work for key events or donor meetings. To foster a healthy work-life balance, schedules are flexible and can adjust to the varying workload throughout the year.
Communications
- Work closely with the Communications and Development Manager to execute strategic plans that inform and engage clients, donors and the general public.
- Proactively identify opportunities that support Kaleo Collective's business goals and charitable mission.
· Gather and prepare communications and marketing material (e.g. posters, brochures, advertisements, invitations, reports, website content, media releases, copywriting, presentations) for internal and external audiences.
· Create digital marketing and awareness campaigns that engage, inform and inspire a variety of audiences using newsletters, social media, digital marketing and traditional media.
· Manage and maintain a programming and content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery across all platforms.
· Perform regular website reviews, ensuring content is current and accurate.
· Oversee the programming registration process and communicate with clients and Kaleo Facilitators.
o Gather data for evaluator and assist in ensuring all client surveys are completed.
· Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel for comprehensive data management and reporting.
· Support post-project and programming analysis and reporting for continuous process improvement and to track and measure results.
· Other duties as required.
Development
· Help build and maintain strong relationships with clients, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
· Assist in the development of donor and client communications, including newsletters, letters and website content.
· Engage in networking activities to uncover new opportunities, stay informed about industry trends, and drive philanthropic growth.
· Oversee and process third-party fundraiser requests, ensuring alignment with Kaleo Collective's mission and guidelines.
· Assist in maintaining the donor database, issuing tax receipts and tracking donor giving history.
· Research and identify potential fundraising and funding opportunities.
· Provide support for grant research and application processes, including gathering required documentation and data and/or drafting smaller applications.
· Act as an ambassador for Kaleo Collective, promoting awareness of the organization's mission and values.
· Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Related post-secondary degree or diploma (Communications preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Superior relationship building skills.
· Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and Canva
· Basic photography and videography skills for content creation
· Familiarity with Mailchimp and Survey Monkey an asset
· Passion for Kaleo Collective's mission and the desire to create meaningful change
· Google Analytics certification and video editing skills an asset
