Your new role

The Furniture Account Executive (FAE) is responsible for prospecting and closing project-based furniture sales opportunities while supporting the general line selling organization to drive transactional sales. The FAE will partner with general line sales team to build customer awareness around our furniture capabilities within our existing account base, while guiding Account Mangers to be self-sufficient in the transactional and small/simple project space. The FAE will also be responsible for acquiring net new furniture opportunities by building lead-generating relationships in their local market with select designer partners.

This position is responsible for senior procurement office and "C" level relationship building.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Prospect (research, contact, qualify), Diagnose (conduct a needs analysis) and Prescribe (prepare and present high impact sales presentations) to supply solutions with a focused approach on winning new business
  • Establish, maintain and develop relationships with potential customers who have been identified as target clients in pursuit of maintaining and building and active sales funnel
  • Partner and collaborate with local market Account Managers to identify targets within the existing account base and collaborate to develop and execute account penetration strategies
  • Gather information on the profile of the competition within their prospect territory and provide regular business updates to Interiors team and general leadership detailing top opportunities, business risks, category trends and other business insights
  • Ensure sales tracking tools (Microsoft Dynamics - Pulse) are updated with most current information
  • Provide leadership, coaching and assistance in the training and development of general line Account Managers to develop category positioning skills and self-sufficiency selling transactional furniture
