We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our rapidly growing team at Willow. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, happy to wear multiple hats and be passionate about working at an early-stage PropTech/FinTech company. We are nimble, and pivot as we go, so we need a contributor that is happy to adapt quickly and learn fast!
The role:
This individual will be supporting two VPs that are responsible for two different channels of sales: direct to client (B2C) as well as institutional (B2B). This will be the first point of contact for many of our relationships - professionalism is of the utmost importance as we're in a high-trust business. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, booking meetings, following up with prospects, and supporting admin/tech for our leads. They will have a desire to grow professionally and eventually close business on their own. At a start-up, everyone is involved in many areas of the company, and we need someone who is excited about working cross-functionally and building something entirely new.
The ideal candidate has:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build meaningful relationships
- Experience in a BDR/SDR role within tech, or in a sales role at an investment or real estate firm
- Strong administrative and organization skills (expense report management, post-meeting follow up, guiding clients through a process)
- Proficiency in HubSpot is an asset
- Ability to generate lead lists and investigate contact information and backgrounds
- Been proven to be a fast learner - this is a complicated space, and we learn as we go
- Preferred (not required) bilingual: fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, French also an asset
