Director, Business Development
Sector: Business development
Reporting to the President and General Manager, the Director, Business Development will play a strategic role in the acquisition of new client accounts. The incumbent will primarily target the Canadian corporate market and specific sectors of the European market. We’re looking for a results-oriented master negotiator with a passion for sales and business development.
Primary duties
Strategic development
- Identify business opportunities and help develop a marketing plan to attract potential clients in target markets.
- Establish an ambitious sales plan to generate revenue in the short, medium and long term.
- Follow up regularly with new clients to ensure their satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with newly onboarded clients through rigorous follow-up.
- Work closely with management and customer service managers to ensure continuous improvement of our service offering.
Prospecting
- Ensure proactive and regular prospecting activities: calls, social media, networking activities, etc.
- Use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track sales activities, forecast revenues and generate reports.
- Contribute to sales presentations tailored to the specific needs of each potential client.
Representation
- Represent Versacom at trade shows, conferences and networking events to promote the company’s services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support sales initiatives.
Education and skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ B2B sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing new markets
- Results-driven achiever
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Bilingualism, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in sales techniques
- Diligence, attention to detail, sense of organization, urgency and priorities
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Knowledge of AI and language services, an asset
- Background in marketing or a related field, an asset
