About the Role:
Zing has grown quickly to hundreds of stores across Canada and the USA since our launch in the pandemic and 2025 is shaping up to be a big year! We're looking for a self-starter Marketing & Operations Associate who is excited to roll up their sleeves and help shape how we tell our story. If you're someone who loves taking big swings, going the extra mile, and finding joy in the process, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop digital content strategies (social media like TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, email etc.) celebrating Zing's flavour-first, joy-driven approach to third-culture cooking.
- Research trends, competitors, and audience insights to inform creative content development.
- Own and manage a content calendar; producing fun, bold, and engaging content (short-form videos, graphics) that reflects Zing's brand and showcases our products.
- Track performance metrics (e.g. engagement) and share actionable insights, finding ways to improve and adapt quickly.
- Contribute to go-to-market planning for new product launches (including planned category expansion) campaigns, ensuring our product attributes, values and vision shine through.
- Engage with Zing's community on social media, support affiliate programs, in-person events and product demos, partnerships, PR initiatives, and storytelling projects that amplify Zing's mission.
- Support with strategic ops projects e.g. we use AI to build systems and processes that scale with us and minimize admin load.
What We're Looking For:
- Required: This position is funded in-part by third party organizations. - You enjoy being online, use social media, and are happy to be in front of and behind a camera.
- Strong creative strategy instincts and a willingness to dive in and figure things out-scrappiness is a huge plus in our books!
- Familiarity with design tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, Canva) and video editing apps.
- Passion for food, global flavours, and sharing stories through content.
- You are a big picture thinker, but able to dial into the details when necessary
- You communicate proactively - there's no such thing as over communication
- Bonus points for experience with:
- Tools like Excel, Notion, Typeform, LLMs like ChatGPT and social analytics tools.
- Photography or food photography
- Writing blogs, recipes, or other longer-form content.
- Building traction on social platforms (e.g., engagement, views, follows).
