Alea Jacta Inc. is a one-man enterprise, and I am seeking an assistant/assistant to support the expected growth in 2024.

Alea Jacta Inc. represents several of the most significant game and toy distributors to Canadian retailers. The role of the sales and customer service assistant is to follow up with customers while the sales agent is on the road or at trade shows. The role is set to evolve with the growth and initiative of the candidate.

The expected tasks once you start working:

This is a bilingual position English / French - 3 to 5 days a week (depending on experience - negotiable)

80% Follow up and communication with established clients

  • Track new releases and extract lists and resources to communicate with customers
  • Write group messages to announce new arrivals as soon as they are available for pre-order
  • Develop customized sales tools (new product catalogue, personalized basket, thematic assortment, presentation document)
  • Follow up on pending orders
  • Maintain mailing lists and client information
  • Plan the return of damaged, over-delivered merchandise and coordinate necessary credits
  • Update customer product lists (client-specific spreadsheets)
  • Answer inbound calls and perform telephone follow-ups to support the sales agent

10% Contribute to sales strategies

  • Follow gaming news and the toy industry
  • Research and categorize information from studios and suppliers
  • Test and discover games and toys samples
  • Contribute to the design of assortments and identification of related products
  • Occasionally: Participate in various promotional events (exhibitions, conventions, launches, etc.).
  • Occasionally: Animate trainings in stores

Other 10%

  • Perform administrative tasks (document review, expense account, etc.)
  • Produce content for social media
  • Any other related task in support of the representative

Experience to have

  • Have a Diploma of College Studies (DEC).
  • Have 3 years of relevant experience in a distribution or sales position
  • Experience in sales or procurement of games and toys in-store (an asset)
  • Be perfectly bilingual in both oral and written
  • MS Office suite
  • Social media knowledge
  • Knowledge of Teams tool (an asset)
  • Experience with POS or distribution software (an asset)
  • Ability to travel occasionally (valid driver's license and passport)
