Assistant Golf Professional / Group Sales Coordinator ~ Wintergreen Golf & Country Club

Every day you get to experience the amazing atmosphere that working in the Foothills provides with a stunning 18-hole golf course as the backdrop. You work in the communications hub of the golf course ensuring that the tee sheet operation runs smoothly, that any group bookings are organized and executed properly and that our customer service is the best it can possibly be. Serving our members, public golfers, and tournaments, you book and organize tee times, check golfers in and get them all setup and ready for their amazing round of golf from start to finish. You have a passion for teaching golf, enjoy working with all ages and being a team leader. You have the ability to make people smile and take pride in providing our guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible.

You Will

  • Assist in all areas of Pro Shop service operations including answering telephone inquiries, booking tee times, and checking in customers while providing excellent customer service and sales.
  • Be responsible for generating sales and booking small and large tournament groups.
  • Organize and assist with all member events and tournaments including Men's League.
  • Ensure all group bookings are efficient and accurate. This will include interaction face-to-face, over the phone and via email.
  • Handle financial transactions and complete cash out procedures.
  • Provide a superior level of guest experience and golf course safety to all visitors and staff.
  • Ensure all communication with group sales and staff is accurate, professional, timely and supports the best interests of the golf course.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other Pro Shop employees and assist with scheduling as necessary.
  • Help with general shop upkeep, cleanliness, and organization while also assisting with outside customer services and practice area operations as required.
  • Be responsible for the Junior Golf Program organization and execution.
  • Provide golf lessons to members as well as public.
  • Assist with the Starter and Marshal program organization as required.

You

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and always strive to improve them.
  • Are able to provide our guests with Professional, Personal and Passionate Service.
  • You should be comfortable using computers, POS systems and have strong cash handling skills and product knowledge.
  • Have a valid Canadian Work Permit.

Position Details

  • Full time seasonal position from the beginning of April until the end of October.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
