Talent Acquisition Licensing Representative

You are a human resource professional who enjoys creating processes, tracking data, and digging for information far beneath the surface. No detail is let unchecked when it's on your radar. You're known for your ability to capture information in colourful spreadsheets, have systems in place to organize lots of information, and to be a knowledgeable resource for your team. Working with the Provincial Health Service Authority's Talent Acquisition team, you'll have the unique opportunity to standardize the documentation of credentials/licenses for all Allied Health employees across the organization, from initial hiring processes through ongoing renewals. Your work will ultimately impact the delivery of excellent patient care across B.C.

What you'll do

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will act as a subject matter expert, resource, and first line of contact for TA by ensuring all allied health applicants have, and current employees maintain, the required licensure and registration for their roles. As Talent Acquisition Representative, you will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Advisors, employees, and external applicants to support qualifying and filling vacancies. Usual tasks include:

  • Provide confirmation of valid licensure and registration for all regulated professions with clear understanding of collective agreements, processes, policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Receive, process, and ensures appropriateness of all relocation reimbursement request for clinical employees. Conduct specific candidate testing if applicable and report on results. Conduct reference checks on short-listed candidates.
  • Liaise with external agencies with regards to discrepancies to applicant's registration status and problem solve where necessary.
  • Support TA Advisors with offers letters and other recruitment support as required.

What you bring

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2 years of recent related experience in human resources / recruitment.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work efficiently on multiple projects in a fast-paced office environment, while supported by a great team (and an amazing organization).
  • Maintains flexibility and a strong capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities / tasks with an emphasis on time and project coordination.
  • Strong technical skills to work in MS Office, MS Teams, and other software.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments (The Declaration Act, the Declaration Action Plan, TRC, IPS, Remembering Keegan, etc.).

Job Type: Temporary Fulltime asap to March 31, 2025 or pending return of incumbent

Salary Range: $60,427 - $86,863+ / year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.

Location: 1333 W. Broadway, Vancouver B.C. (Flexibility for Hybrid/remote work within BC)
