Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager's primary function is to develop marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives and oversee implementation.

The position leads and supports all marketing initiatives, including public education campaigns, community engagement initiatives and thought leadership activities.

This individual plays a key role in ensuring brand awareness among target audiences and in delivering various marketing-related projects within budget and scope.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic marketing plans to align with organizational goals.
  • Develop annual marketing calendar and oversee implementation.
  • Manage content marketing strategy, creation, and execution across multiple
  • platforms.
  • Manage digital marketing strategy including e-communications, social media, and website.
  • Manage creative development and production of marketing materials.
  • Lead marketing partnerships and provide marketing support to corporate sponsorships.
  • Maintain corporate trademarks, logos and brand documents and ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Analyze and report on marketing performance; provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify innovative marketing opportunities.
  • Effectively manage marketing budgets to drive cost-effective strategies.
  • Manage the human resources for the marketing team including recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, professional development, employee relations and performance management.
  • Monitor and optimize staff resourcing to ensure optimal team efficiency, making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive contributor with strong initiative and ownership.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Efficient project and team management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency.
  • Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels and platforms.
  • Experience planning, managing and executing marketing projects.
  • Experience managing agency/vendor relationships.
  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in marketing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the operation of not-for-profit organizations is an asset.
  • Ability to write and speak in French is an asset.
