The Sales Representative - Residential Garage Doors position reports to the Branch Manager and is a key role in the success of the business. As a part of the Sales team, the incumbent will establish and continually build productive partnerships with industry stakeholders in an 'outside sales' role with the focus of building repeat business relationships within the residential sectors throughout Kelowna and the surrounding region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications related to Overhead Doors from home-owners, architects, and general contractors.
• Preparation of competitive bids of labour and materials for Overhead Doors and other related products.
• Submission of shop drawings and related construction documents.
• Consult with staff technicians to confirm specific installation parameters and details.
• Compile closing and follow up documents after completion of contracts.
• Assist with other related estimating and sales duties within the organization.

Requirements:

• 4-10 years of professional sales and estimating experience in a commercial and/or residential building products environment; experience with overhead doors a distinct advantage.
• Advanced experience and expertise with sub-trade bid tendering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Detail orientated and accurate.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and an individual drive to succeed while always being a strong team player.
• Customer service oriented, with the ability to always represent Canada West Garage Doors in a positive manner, maintaining a professional tone and approach to both verbal and written communications.
• Integrity and Accountability.
• Willingness to learn and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge.
• Completion of a high school diploma, with post-secondary education related to sales/business, construction, architecture or engineering an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
