BIS Safety Software?is a fast-growing technology company providing leading software for the safety industry. We are looking to add a Director of Marketing to our expanding team.

About the role

In this position, you'll have a significant impact on the growth of our company. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of B2B Demand Generation (ideally for a SaaS or Online software company), and who is not afraid of a challenge. Reporting to the Leadership team, you will be responsible for increasing new client interactions with our brand and our website, with the ultimate goal of driving new business generation.

This position involves leading a small team, collaborating with various departments and external partners, and making data-driven decisions to drive marketing and company success. This role will be equal parts visionary strategy and roll-up-your-sleeves execution, and will be an in-person position based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta, office.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL

  • Create, implement, and execute the overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Champion the growth of our overall marketing efforts, directly contributing to an increase in sales and the further expansion of our company.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define key market segments, competitive positioning, and value propositions.
  • Utilize a mix of online and offline channels to maximize reach and engagement, identifying and suggesting new innovative strategies to increase the number of client inquiries, as well as building on existing initiatives.
  • Bring a creative and innovative approach to attracting new customers with outside-the-norm ideas.
  • Lead by example and actively engage in the execution of marketing tasks, rolling up your sleeves to support the team with account based marketing initiatives, website improvements, channel marketing, content creation, social media management, event coordination, and more.
  • Be able to make data-driven decisions to enhance effectiveness and ROI for all marketing efforts.
  • Think critically about strategy, and be comfortable making suggestions to improve any area of the business.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well in a team, to build off the ideas of others, and be open to constructive feedback on their work.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities.
  • Emphasize cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and broader company objectives.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and hands-on training to team members to foster their growth and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience in B2B or SaaS environments, specifically with digital marketing, SEO, in-bound marketing techniques, customer funnels, and content creation.
  • Have experience with digital marketing techniques, including Google ads, on-page SEO, keyword research, in-bound marketing strategies, etc.
Showcase a successful track record of designing and executing projects, on time, on budget and exceeding expectations. We will be asking for projects you have worked on, and the results you have achieved.
  • Display a strong ability to think strategically - creating clear goals and breaking down the tasks into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrate a history of conversion optimization across all projects - not just coming up with great ideas, but getting results.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.

  • Have excellent English written and oral communication skills

  • Are knowledgeable with Google Analytics (or related)

$100,000 - $140,000 a year

Salary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role.
