The team:

As part of the Marketing Department, the Demand Generation team works together to develop, manage, and optimize integrated campaigns that drive leads for our self-serve and sales-assisted funnels. As a valued member of the Demand Generation team, you'll work cross-functionally to generate awareness among home service businesses, convert and monetize existing in-market demand, and help prospects keep Jobber top-of-mind.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, the Manager, Performance Marketing will lead the Search team in their mission of driving YoY customer growth via paid marketing. You'll utilize important data to make decisions, work collaboratively with other stakeholders to understand the overall ecosystem of the department, and be given a level of autonomy to hold yourself accountable to decisions, outcomes and timelines that impact your work.

You'll share your many years of advertising experience to guide your team in reaching home service professionals with the right message at the right time to grow Jobber's brand awareness and market share. In this role you'll get to flex both your analytical and creative muscles to accelerate customer and revenue growth, directly impacting Jobber's bottomline.

As the Manager, Performance Marketing you will:

  • Oversee the development, management, and optimization of search channels, spend and tactics to achieve growth and KPI targets
  • Oversee and help develop the strategy and budget for Search in partnership with your team of subject matter experts (a.k.a. channel managers), SEO lead, developers, content managers and analytics teams
  • Leverage customer and performance data to draw insights, develop hypotheses, and proactively identify opportunities to accelerate customer and revenue growth and increase conversion rates
  • Forecast and track performance metrics with a focus on cost efficiency and you'll oversee
concurrent campaigns and optimization experiments across multiple channels, and need to ensure your team keeps projects on schedule and within scope
  • Our Marketing department is extremely collaborative, so you'll be coordinating with teams like Business Analytics, Sales, Lifecycle, and Product Marketing to drive results
  • You'll report progress and communicate results and recommendations to the larger team and key stakeholders on a regular basis

To be successful, the following are required:

  • 6+ years experience in digital marketing or customer acquisition/performance/growth marketing, with an emphasis on SaaS customer acquisition
  • 4+ years experience managing a performance marketing team in people leadership, strategy development, and project management
  • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, directing their work and holding third parties accountable for deliverables
  • Expertise in ad platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager
  • A proven track record of directly and effectively managing a $1M+ performance marketing budget and being responsible for revenue targets
  • Experience nurturing a consistent testing process and culture
  • Ability to extract and action meaningful insights from analytics platforms (e.g. Data Studio, Google Analytics, Mode, Power BI, Looker)
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into acquisition strategies with meaningful KPIs
  • Flexible and responsive - ability to prioritize multiple tasks as needed and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate proactively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize, work independently, and learn quickly
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for using data to tell compelling stories to senior leadership
