We’re looking for a Director of Sales to join our team!

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary individual to fill the role of Director of Sales. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a strategic role in steering our sales department towards achieving and surpassing organizational goals.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do here

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire Sales Managers in motivating the sales team to surpass daily activity goals.
  • Implement and oversee a value-added sales process, ensuring adherence to established discount levels necessary to achieve Gross Profit (GP) objectives.
  • Address and resolve challenges faced by the sales staff, particularly in securing hardware revenue.
  • Conduct regular strategic sales meetings to review performance, forecast, and refine branch strategies.
  • Play an active role in customer demonstrations to enhance overall sales efforts.

Administrative Oversight:

  • Enforce adherence to corporate policies and manage corporate assets responsibly.
  • Review and approve all paperwork for rental and trial orders.
  • Analyze, report, and present results and activities against plans.
  • Develop and submit "Quarterly Business Plans" to the VP, ensuring focused and impactful activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll procedures and standards.

Recruiting and Training:

  • Oversee the recruitment, testing, and hiring of sales staff, aligning with corporate hiring policies.
  • Develop and conduct monthly "Sales Workshops," focusing on strategic and timely sales employee developmental needs.
  • Ensure all new sales representatives are prepared for company/corporate-sponsored introductory sales schools.

People Leadership Skills:

  • Set clear expectations for sales revenue and professional development for Sales Managers.
  • Conduct regular coaching and counseling sessions to build motivation, professionalism, and selling skills.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, influencing others with commitment and a sense of responsibility.
  • Foster rapport and effective interaction with all company employees.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven track record in competitive selling and account management, with at least 7 years of experience in office products and solutions sales environments (including 2 years in sales management).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC and network concepts with the ability to apply these skills to understand and deliver printing solutions.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality sales presentations to key decision-makers.
  • Own vehicle with valid insurance, a valid driver's license in good standing.
