DESCRIPTION

As Sr. Regional Marketing Manager you’ll play a key role in the creation and execution of all events and ensuing communication functions in Canada. Regional contract negotiations, partnership management and event execution will be primary functions of this position. This also includes: management of the strategic marketing direction of the brand; support and management of brand’s marketing objectives, strategies and philosophies; creation, development and execution of marketing events and programs; the integration of marketing into key sales initiatives to build brand awareness for Monster Energy in your specific role. Reporting into this position will be the Events Manager East to assist with operations involved with events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Bring Monster Energy image to life by implementing Image Building strategies through:

(1) Oversee Events in Eastern Canada:

  • Manage relationship with all current and future event partners.
  • Own the agreements and budgets of those respective events.
  • Assist Events Managers in the execution of events as needed.

(2) Relationship development:

  • Entrench yourself & Monster Energy in the national sport & culture scenes relevant to key targeted consumers.
  • Develop & maintain relationships with opinion leaders nationally for the key image building scenes in sport & culture.

(3) Innovation and idea development:

  • Ideas are spawned on the ground at events during interaction with opinion leaders. These ideas will be retained and shared and tested for potential with marketing team.
  • Constantly innovate communication strategy in response to technological developments.

(4) Branding:

  • Ensure that all branding/ logo use is acceptable at all events and activations and is approved and under the direction of the Sr. Creative Content Manager.
  • Continue to evolve our branding to meet needs on the ground.
  • Asset inventory control/maintenance.

(5) Communications Management:

  • Consult with Directors to develop a communication strategy that will effectively promote and reinforce the Monster Canada vision, mission and project objectives and timelines.
  • Work closely with Sales Directors, Channel Directors and Regional Mangers to utilize our assets to the fullest potential.
  • Provide them with activation information that they can use to “sell” our activations to their customers.

(6) Participate in National level events:

  • From time to time, Sr.MM will participate in the concept to completion of national level events to help support other territories.

(7) Sponsorship Opportunity Knowledge/Negotiations:

  • Be aware of Sponsorship opportunities in your territory and be able to communicate and present the opportunities that you see fitting the Monster brand to your superiors.
  • Negotiate Sponsorship opportunities to get the most out of a partnership.

(8) Asset Utilization:

  • Sr.MM will ensure that all deliverables on legal Agreements are being leveraged and/or utilized to the best of their ability.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Five (5) years or more event production, management and activation or related field experience.
  • Detail oriented with ability to grasp complex concepts and execute decisively.
  • Excellent planning, negotiating, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
  • Flexibility to travel and work in a variety of environments.
  • Strong team player skills with a positive work outlook.
  • Experience in development and implementation of annual and/or individual event marketing plans.
  • The ability to be flexible and excel at multitasking.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with outstanding time management skills.
  • Experience with inventory systems.
  • Bi-lingual (English & French).
  • Clean driving record.

Salary Range CAD 75,800.00 to CAD 89,100.00
