The Role: are you up for the challenge?

The Digital Marketing Lead is primarily responsible for digital marketing leadership, strategy, and execution. Working alongside the Marketing Manager, you will oversee the entire strategy and execution of our paid digital marketing. You will be responsible for developing a digital marketing strategy and for the platform execution, campaign optimizations, and overall tactical approach. The Digital Marketing Lead is directly responsible for increasing the number of inbound leads coming through our website and will be required to provide weekly performance updates.

Responsibilities: how will you make a contribution?

  • Accountable for all digital marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads
  • Provide a digital audit upon starting and use the findings to create a digital marketing strategy
  • Execute on the implementation and optimization of digital campaign setup and reporting
  • Conduct thorough research to understand customer's objectives, target audience, and industry trends
  • Maximize ROI and achieve campaign objectives
  • Invest time into truly understanding our business and our customers in order to create campaigns that resonate with them
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Sales team to fill the top of the funnel using digital marketing tactics
  • Propose new ideas for generating inbound leads using digital marketing tactics
  • Develop a strategy for remarketing using a combination of digital ads and CRM marketing
  • Digital marketing budget management and tracking metrics like CPL, Conversion Rates, ROMI, etc.

Qualifications: do you have what it takes?

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Strong expertise and hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Linkedin Ads, Facebook Ads, and SEMRush (see below for specifics)
  • Experience with SEO, HubSpot, email marketing, and paid media planning considered nice-to-have
  • Problem-solving mentality
  • Data-driven personality with the ability to transform metrics into actionable plans
  • A deep understanding of best practices for B2B SaaS digital marketing and a willingness to keep up to date with industry trends
  • Some level of familiarity with heavy industry (Oil and gas, Energy, Construction)

Technical Qualifications

Must have excellent knowledge of digital marketing platforms and be highly skilled in all phases of digital campaign execution: Campaign Planning and Strategy, Campaign Setup, Campaign Optimization, Analytics and Reporting, and Budget Management.

Google Ads: Campaign set-up, keyword research, monitor and adjust bidding strategies, copywriting for ads and ad groups, targeting, remarketing, conversions, budget management, reporting
Google Analytics: Familiarity with GA4, creating reports and dashboards, conversion tracking from website user to lead to customer
Linkedin Ads: Campaign set up, optimization, targeting, copywriting, budget management, reporting
Facebook Ads (Meta): Campaign set up, optimization, targeting, copywriting, budget management, reporting
SEMRush: keyword research, competitive analysis, market research, digital audit, keyword tracking and positioning

Location

Aimsio is Remote First which means we're flexible about where you live. However, we can currently only consider candidates who are legally able to work for us in Canada. Our "home cities" are Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver, so if you live elsewhere, at very least you should expect occasional flights to our home cities in the future for team-building events (we can't wait!).
