We are currently seeking applications from students presently enrolled in relevant post-secondary programs, for the temporary term position of Marketing and Communications Assistant. This role involves researching, compiling, designing, and publishing content about local history and programs in both traditional and online mediums. It will also encompass assisting with revamping our online exhibit platform; managing our social media platforms; and other related tasks as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for students to gain experience and build their professional careers in this field.

The Opportunity

As our successful candidate, you will employ best practices to assist in creating engaging and educational content in various formats, including written, photographic, audio, illustrated, or video, based on your skill level and experience. Ideal candidates will be students pursuing studies in new media, computer science, journalism, or art-based programs, with advanced familiarity and skills in computers and technology, copywriting, editing, and graphic design software like Adobe InDesign, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro. Additional expertise in photography, videography, or illustration would be advantageous.

Applicants demonstrating a passion for local history and familiarity with the Blackfoot language are strongly encouraged to apply.

WAGE: 21.91 per hour

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

TERM: Approximately 12 weeks, beginning June 3, 2024
