The Opportunity

Lavender is currently seeking a Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager supports Lavender's marketing efforts to sustainably generate business and increase brand awareness. The manager is a skilled writer with business savvy and a knack for understanding client journeys. The role has the primary responsibility of Lavender's content marketing, writing and curating content for website, SEO, email, social and other marketing initiatives. The manager will lead the owned and shared content space and drive social community engagement.

The Responsibilities:

Support the development of marketing plans designed to support the company's strategic objectives

Develop content marketing strategy including channel and program plans to boost client acquisition and retention

Shape the long-term SEO strategy to increase website traffic and engagement

Develop comprehensive social media plan to increase brand awareness and audience interaction

Write and develop compelling SEO-supported content for website, referral sites, blogs, social, press releases to drive traffic, capture attention and showcase Lavender's thought leadership

Proactively seek out, research, and collaborate with subject matter experts to write and produce impactful stories in a variety of formats to create demand and engagement across digital platforms

Generate content around success stories, innovation, thought leadership, and growth

Build and execute integrated content calendar for website, social and email marketing

Build technical SEO roadmap to improve organic content ranking

Manage all social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok

Implement, audit, and optimize lifecycle marketing automated programs, emails and SMS campaigns

Leverage email automation tools to develop content strategies that maximize lead generation, lead nurturing, customer retention, lead nurturing, and re-engagement

Grow organic social following and engagement through content that resonates, active community management and insightful dialogue

Monitor social media trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth

Develop relationships with referral partners, thought leaders, nursing community and partners to raise awareness and visibility

Build and maintain internal and external relationships, aligning teams, fostering a winning culture, and ensuring engagement, growth and performance

Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and development opportunities to grow the Marketing team

Compile and regularly present data, analytics, and insights on website, social, email and SMS marketing activities that support strategic objectives

Adjust content and campaign approaches based on results to continually improve targeting, lead generation, and brand awareness.

The Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of experience in content marketing, email marketing, social media and community management, with a proven track record of planning and executing

Passionate about writing, building and consuming content that captivates, in all formats

Robust digital marketing toolset with a deep understanding of SEO strategies

Proactive approach to social media marketing and community engagement

Experience in email/SMS marketing and automation, content and journey mapping

Enthusiastic, highly collaborative team player with exceptional creativity, problem solving, and communication skills

Care deeply about creating positive experiences with end users and customers at the heart to drive adoption and performance

Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, remote-first, startup environment

Thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry or a relatable highly regulated industry is preferred

Hours, location & benefits:

40 hours per week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This role is remote with an option to work out of the Calgary office, so preference will be given to candidates in Calgary, Alberta. Must have your own computer that can be used for work, high-speed internet and a quiet, professional space to work from home. Competitive compensation based on experience and full benefits package covered by the company.
