Our Administrative Team supports Bayshore HealthCare's Northern Staffing program to provide high-quality health care services and health guidance to individuals, families, and groups in Northern Communities of Canada. With our Administrative support, the Travelling Health Team experiences exciting assignments in Northern Canada's isolated, semi-isolated, and remote areas working closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) providing care to community members in Canada's remote Northern communities.

What you will do:

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will provide administrative support to our HR Team in our Cornwall office. This role will ensure a seamless hiring process for all new hires. Other duties include assisting with HR administrative duties, absence requests and maintenance of credentials of the health care providers

  • Manage the on-boarding and credentialing process for new hires
  • Assist with leave of absence requests and returns of healthcare providers
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team, HR Manager, Director of Operations
  • Manage the receipt, verification and electronic filing of credentials and other mandatory documents for all employees
  • Maintain databases and generate data reports from Bayshore employee records
  • Receive and respond to employees' requests for confirmation of employment and other similar letters
  • Responsible for managing on-going credential requirements of healthcare staff
  • Special tasks and other duties as assigned

Status: Full-Time Summer Contract

Schedule/Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Location: Cornwall Bayshore Northern Staffing Office

Job Qualification

Qualifications - External

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a Human Resources Program (in-progress is acceptable)
  • Experience in providing administrative support in a healthcare environment (an asset)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Initiative to support a busy office environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
