GRAPHIC DESIGNER

LOCATION: Innisfil, ON

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office

TYPE: Full-time, Permanent (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm)

SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer will create visual communications for advertising, branding, catalogues, flyers, and signage in accordance with branding guidelines and business strategy. This individual will collaborate with various departments internally on the objectives, parameters, and timelines of the project initiative. The Graphic Designer will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative design projects
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Valid drivers' license with a clean drivers' abstract
  • Must have valid passport or the ability to obtain one

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in a professional graphic design, visual communication or related field
  • 5+ years' experience with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or other related softwares
  • Photography and photo-editing experience with proven proficiency with photo-editing software
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and Javascript
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on a wide range of projects, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs
  • Update and maintain internal image and video content databases
  • Design print materials such as catalogues, brand guidelines, brochures, postcards, advertisements, tradeshow collateral (signs, banners, promo) and in-store visuals and signage that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
  • Executes design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deliverables are produced on time and meet quality standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
  • Assists with other design assignments and projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
