POSITION SUMMARY

The Communications and Culture Coordinator reports to the Director of Employee Experience. Through the shared services model the candidate works closely with other organizational stakeholders to deliver outcomes supporting the communications strategy and developing customer and employee experience initiatives. This is achieved through the delivery of systems that ensure our employees and customers are engaged and connected.

KEY OUTCOMES

  • Implement the corporate communication strategy by creating positive perceptions and delivering value-added information among internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with the development, review and editing of internal and external communications
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain up to date content for a wide range of channels including print, electronic, town halls, websites, intranet, and social media platforms
  • Measure and benchmark the effectiveness of the various communication platforms
  • Produce and implement marketing campaigns over various channels to satisfy the needs of the business and delivering to our brand promise as ?Contractor of Choice?
  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging through all marketing and communication platforms are adhered to and leveraged over a variety of channels
  • Identify ways to ensure our core values and company purpose continue to be a focal point through a sustained set of actions defined in our values sustainability plan
  • Outline a plan that develops an organizational culture that is healthy ensuring adherence to values across the organization because of numerous organization-wide initiatives
  • Manage the systems, processes, and action plans that monitor the overall health, culture and sustainability of Forbes Bros. Group of Companies ensuring the company delivers an excellent employee and customer/client experience
  • Provide analysis and management of the data collected in the employee and customer survey platforms
  • Participate in the planning and organizing of company social activities and community-based events that increase employee engagement, operational knowledge, and morale
  • Support as necessary the administrative functions of ensuring training and development information is maintained in the Learning Management System
  • The Vault
  • Administer a structured and planned corporate sponsorship, donations, and community investment program

  • Accountable to contribute research, analysis and ideas that ensure communications are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business objectives

  • Accountable to contribute to the delivery of employee engagement and communication efforts ensuring they remain current with best practices and technology developments
  • Accountable to deliver the customer experience model using the Qualtrics platform and managing the closed loop feedback for improved operational performance

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education in public relations, communications, journalism, business or other related field of study
  • Experience with change management and developing or enhancing organizational culture
  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of theory and good practices in communication technology, web design, and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated performance of delivering successful organizational change: influencing, building, and sustaining relationships to achieve results

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability to write quickly and succinctly, often within tight timelines
  • Highly motivated to succeed with energy, enthusiasm, and a creative and innovative style
  • Skilled in data analysis and survey research practices with technical systems aptitude
  • Ability to build consensus, organize, active listener, keen sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Critical thinker with effective planning and project management skills having the ability to set and work towards achieving deadlines
  • Group facilitation skills progressing from conceptual through to outcomes
  • Task-orientated with strong attention to details and follow through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This position requires candidates to:

  • Occasional travel to various project sites and office locations (10% travel/field)
  • Complete background screening and criminal record check
