WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a communications manager in the Americas Communications Organization you will leverage your keen sense for the balance between short-term action and big-picture thinking to create innovative, imaginative, authentic communications that drive growth in Americas Sales and specifically, within the Canada theatre.

Detailed responsibilities include: Executive Thought Leadership (25%) Executive correspondence Thought leadership platform development and execution Internal and external presentations Support major events (Cisco Live, Partner Summit, Impact, etc.) Drive executive's social media platforms Write blogs Internal/Employee/Strategic Communications (50%) Create detailed communications calendar and cadence Craft earnings announcements Execute employee all hands Create/write employee newsletters Write organizational announcements and own cascade timing Create and edit videos using the OneMob platform Public Relations and External Comms (25%) Media relations and relationship management Executive prep for media engagements Media audits and social media support

The Americas Communications team works in support of the Americas Sales organization and the employees of Cisco Americas. In this role you will support the Canadian business. you will be a part of an incredibly talented group of communicators who truly care about each other.

Minimum Requirements B.S. or equivalent degree You have 8+ years of experience in a range of functions such as communications, sales, marketing, strategy and planning You have very strong verbal, written, presentation, and general communications skills and ability to serve in a ?client? focused environment You can collaborate cross-functionally, virtually, and in-person with an attitude of collaboration and partnership You are resourceful

  • what you don't know, you can find out by networking and asking questions You can present concise information to individual contributors all the way to executive audiences
  • you have executive presence! You can manage/prioritize and drive the execution of multiple projects You are a savvy Power Point pro You are a clear and powerful writer You have experience editing videos on various platforms You know how to take disparate information and build a comprehensive story
