Summary of Duties:

? Provide leadership to a team of Program Managers in the co-ordination and implementation of all communication and

marketing strategies for Continuing Education programs;

? Develop communications plans and create marketing strategies to promote programs and build enrolments;

? Develop social media strategies;

? Manage projects and work within budgets;

? Develop, review, and revise key branding messages and communications strategies for print and online;

? Design, produce, and manage publications and promotional materials that promote all Continuing Education

programs;

? Create marketing strategies to promote programs and build enrolments (e.g. communications with the media, initiating

surveys, and overseeing research and developing assessment surveys, for students, community and staff;

? Direct and supervise the work of outside contractors;

? Procure and assess quotations for a variety of projects;

? Direct and supervise a team of contributors to co-ordinate submissions, for internet and print publications, and for all

other promotional materials;

? Co-ordinate distribution of large-scale publication materials to schools, libraries, and the public;

? Oversee research and initiate surveys, to measure needs and success to help steer future communications and

marketing tactics, and improve registration and telephone communications;

? Prepare reports and make recommendations on an on-going basis, regarding promotional issues and

communications strategies;

? Research, plan, write and edit for consistent messaging. Monitor editorial quality;

? Track and analyze trends and engagement levels, using web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics);

? Provide leadership in fostering equity and inclusiveness, in the development and implementation of programs and

services; and

? Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

? Three-year community college diploma in related field (e.g. Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism), with four years

of related work experience in Communications and Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience;

? Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the publications process, including publications planning, editing, design,

print production and the tendering process;

? Hands-on understanding of database driver website development, and e-commerce technology;

? Knowledge of research and ability to manage surveys and questionnaires;

? Ability to direct and co-ordinate a team (internal and external);

? Knowledge of current marketing trends;

? Ability to negotiate contracts with external agencies (e.g. for external web development and with print and distribution

companies);

? Ability to maintain and foster relationships with new partners;

? Demonstrated writing, editing and proofreading skills, with knowledge of proofreader's marks, and TDSB style guide;

? Thorough knowledge of copy editing;

? Proficiency in software applications used to create publications, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Quark Xpress;

Microsoft Office, Prezi;

? Excellent oral and written communications skills;

? Proven ability in promoting equitable practices which value inclusiveness and diversity; and

? Time management and organizational skills.

Location: This position is currently located at 2 Trethewey Drive (wheelchair accessible).
