POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Brand leads and drives global marketing campaigns and special projects, from strategy through creative development, production and implementation. A cross-functional role, requiring leadership, execution and collaboration with members of the Marketing Leadership team as well as DTC, Design & Merchandising, Product Development, Corporate Communications and external partners. This role will also lead and support the needs of the Brand & Community team and Marketing Organization more broadly including culture initiatives, special projects. The Sr. Marketing Manager must have a strong leadership, strategic thinking, organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail to ensure that all internal and external marketing campaigns and communications accurately reflect the Canada Goose brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support the building of and implementation of the global marketing strategy, DTC channels and consumer touchpoints, collaborating with regional marketing leads and channel leads to drive brand heat and support both the corporate strategies and commercial growth
  • Develop and lead seasonal brand campaigns and creative projects, from brief through to execution, partnering closely with global digital, channel and regional marketing leads to ensure alignment of objectives, priorities and deliverables for all brand marketing projects
  • Lead, execute and deliver on brand projects including but not limited to, background research, writing of global brand briefs, producing creative assets, development of go-to-market tools and marketing materials
  • enuring they are integrated, on time and within budget,
  • Support seasonal GTM process and strategies for Brand campaigns, content and creative projects, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, aligning local priorities, timing and creative integration
  • Play an integral in ensuring all projects are part of the IMC process, fully integrated through the marketing funnel and communicate global brand priorities and objectives to local marketing teams and agency partners
  • Ensure brand positioning and consumer targets are at the forefront of the strategy and integrated and reflected across all initiatives and consumer touchpoints
  • Financial management, forecasting, reporting and analysis of brand marketing projects
  • Manages relationship with external creative agencies and acts as the primary contact for outside agencies and global partnerships
  • Develop a stable of agency partners to concept, develop and produce brand, social and product themed storytelling
  • Support the growth and development of the Brand team, in particular direct reports through the development of project plans and day-to-day leadership
  • Proactively contribute creative marketing ideas and analyze trends or the competitive environment to identify opportunities to drive awareness, affinity and reach new relevant audiences
  • Analyze research and consumer insights, translate insights into action for all global projects

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND DESIGNATIONS:

  • University degree in business or marketing-related field
  • 6+ years of integrated marketing experience, preferably within Fashion, Entertainment, Outdoor Apparel, CPG or Agency Services with a strong understanding of the industry
  • Proven record of success in traditional and non-traditional marketing with measurable results

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Knowledge of brand planning, budgeting, business analysis, advertising, promotions merchandising, research and analysis
  • Have finger on the pulse of global trends in both luxury & fast fashion and have as strong passion for culture, luxury and streetwear culture, popular culture, and women's culture.
  • Solution oriented with a focus on delivering a consumer centric approach
  • Strong leadership and project management skills; highly analytical w/ strong quantitative skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written and presentations
  • Highly collaborative, ability to build and maintain close working relationships and act as liaison with cross-functional and external stakeholders
  • Highly motived self-starter and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Superior computer skills, especially MS Office suite

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office based with some travel required (pending project requirements)
  • 5-10% of time
