The Marketing Consultant is responsible for providing expertise to help support the communication and marketing strategies for MacEwan International and the Office of Research Services. For MacEwan International, this position helps the department develop, refine, create, and execute multiple campaigns throughout the year targeted at existing international students, existing domestic students, and most heavily on future international students. For the Office of Research Services, this position helps to highlight the scholarly work being done at MacEwan through digital media, events, and other campaigns/publications.
This position will handle multiple major projects with overlapping deadlines that require a high level of organization and planning. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a high attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects through various stages is essential. Additionally, the candidate must possess exceptional writing and editing skills.
Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite, Google Docs, and Windows is required. Intermediate knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc. is essential. Experience with all aspects of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Whats App and Weibo, is also required.
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications is required. Formal education or professional development training in standard graphic design software is required. Experience working in a post-secondary environment or an international environment is preferred.
