As an Associate Vice President, Marketing you will take the lead on maximizing insurance coverage and placements that best meet the needs of our clients and organizational direction in the commercial property and casualty division. This is a regular full time positon reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and joining our Burnaby Still Creek office.

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

As Associate Vice President (AVP) you will:

  • Lead and oversee the commercial property and casualty marketing efforts

  • Contribute to the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives within this business area

  • Be creative in seeking out, creating and suggesting product enhancements, new products to support the changing market landscape and client needs

  • Leverage the HUB brand with our insurer partners to outpace the competition

  • Achieve budget goals for insurer volumes

  • Communicate market updates and changes

  • Seek solutions for tough to place renewal and new business

  • Collaborate with In-House Underwriting team to identify and build out new product lines and authorities.

In addition, the AVP will:

  • Lead and manage the Marketing Manager and team including:

  • Talent fit

  • Engagement

  • Performance management


As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Domestic market understanding and network

  • 10+ years’ experience in insurance (broker or insurer)

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operationalize solutions

  • Excellent collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills (internal & external)

  • Project management skills, including an ability to multi-task with minimal direction, resourcefully solve issues, and meet expected timelines

  • A process-oriented mindset that helps makes complex issues/solutions operational

  • A willingness to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility in order to grow within our organization

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Knowledge working in EPIC and PolicyWorks a benefit
