We are looking for a Associate Manager, Business Analytics

Data analysis is critical to our most important business decisions. Our ability to effectively manage and utilize data is vital to the organization's ability to deliver on its strategic plan. The Analytics & Reporting team provides key business information and tools to guide our strategic direction and the management of Plan Member as Customer's (PMAC) national operations.

The Associate Manager, Business Analytics will lead the development, production and analysis of data and management information. This is a key enablement role within PMAC; this role will be responsible for working in partnership with multiple stakeholders to develop PMAC's data management processes, as well as being a key liaison with Shared Services team to use data to drive out Customer Insights.

This position provides an opportunity to evaluate and predict operational performance by leveraging our data and developing new ways to mine information. This opportunity also involves envisioning and leading the development of business solutions (e.g. spreadsheet and database tools) to support the success of our customer-facing business areas.


  • Understand PMAC business processes and needs to support the development and maintenance of database applications. Will involve advanced functions and programming.
  • Data mine various systems and EUCA data sources to capture key performance indicators that inform and influence strategic business decisions.
  • Work in partnership with multiple stakeholders including senior leadership and data owners to analyze data, develop value-added reporting, and drive out insights
  • Analyze data, summarize key observations and providing commentary to explain our financial and operational results and assist senior management in decision-making
  • Develop databases to support PMAC's reporting capabilities on performance metrics as they relate to sales and associated advisor compensation
  • Manage and lead projects and report on milestones
  • Create financial models and analysis tools


  • Education acquired through completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent with a minimum of five years of work experience
  • Completion of financial analysis or computer sciences courses an asset
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and well-developed analytical skills
  • Superior technical skills in data modeling, data querying tools/languages, and end-user computing
  • Knowledge of programming languages, e.g. Visual Basic, Power BI, SQL, Tableau
  • Prior use or development of complex relational databases required
  • Well-developed self-management skills and leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in presenting data in graphical format to executive leadership an asset
  • Business knowledge of Group Insurance an asset
  • Resourceful & able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
