Skills and Qualifications

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education (2 years)
  • Strong background in communications, public relations and marketing with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Proven track record of communications programs development and execution
  • Demonstrated application of communications strategies
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills, with proven attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines
  • Northern experience is a definite asset
  • Airline experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe Creative suite and basic HTML coding
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktitut or other Indigenous language considered an asset
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
  • Duties and Responsibilities

Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Drafting support for Sr. Management in all formats (letters, speechs, presentations, videos, etc)
  • Work with external partners and internal stakeholders to define and execute a strategy for Public Relations
  • Provide internal and external communications support for company departments including Sales & Community Investment, Commercial Planning and Operations, and Human Resources
  • Generate and create content for the in-flight magazine, loyalty programs, website and customer experience
  • Maintain and leverage the intranet as a key internal communications platform
  • Build and maintain internal senior level connections to ensure timely communication
  • Support the development of annual budgets, work plans, goals and projections with measurable results
  • As required, continued support of Integration Management Office and their communications needs
  • Provide feedback to all operating departments
  • Demonstrate knowledge or employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the Company's Safety Management System program
  • Other duties as assigned.
