Reporting to the Executive Director, the Tourism Marketing Coordinator will support Cranbrook Tourism's objectives by implementing marketing campaigns and developing new initiatives based on the annual marketing plan. The Marketing Coordinator is pivotal to all marketing work done by the organization and is responsible for the day to day coordination of work on the website, social media, email and other communications. The ideal candidate will assist in all areas of marketing and is a creative thinker who is detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain websites, newsletters, emails, social media campaigns
  • Contribute to marketing and creative brainstorming initiatives
  • Identify and propose internal/external ideas and initiatives to help promote general awareness of the brand
  • Creation and maintenance of editorial calendar for communications
  • Creation of communications for consumers and industry
  • Work with community stakeholders on outreach, education and packaging opportunities
  • Administrative duties as required

Job Requirements/Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in marketing/brand management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of all social networking platforms
  • Aptitude for and organizational skills related to managing digital assets (photography, videography)
  • Basic photo and video production and editing skills an asset
  • Familiarity with or aptitude to learn: Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, CrowdRiff
  • Tourism industry-related experience an asset
