ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You're passionate about email, digital and social media marketing, and you're energized by working in a flexible, changing environment. You can think big picture, but you enjoy being hands-on. You're looking for a challenging role where you'll collaborate with the rest of the marketing team, and work cross-functionally with other departments, to work towards our common goal: to promote our online CPD programs locally, nationally and globally.

Responsibilities & what you'll be doing:

  • Develop marketing communication strategies for our key CME/CPD programs to drive participation by our healthcare provider membership
  • Monitor and track program participation to ensure quarterly targets are met
  • Assess new and existing marketing channels for performance and return on investment
  • Lead marketing projects and collaborate with different functional teams to deliver on project milestones
  • Create engaging email campaigns that drive open and click-through rates
  • Monitor and track the health of our membership to reduce churn and promote engagement
  • Use social media (paid and unpaid) to promote key programs and increase account followers
  • Manage Google Ad to drive a brand awareness and membership acquisition for mdBriefCase
  • Fulfil payment of prizes/incentives provided for market research or post-program survey participation
  • Ensure web properties are up-to-date and deliver a consistent user and brand experience
  • Develop marketing collateral, including copywriting and briefing for graphic design
  • Provide support to the business development team to drive sales
  • Lead other marketing channels to drive member acquisition, including conferences sponsorship

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

As the ideal candidate, you are highly self-motivated individual who works hard and you're comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment. You have excellent project management skills coupled with strong communication. You also have the following:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role
  • University degree and/or post-graduate certificate in business, marketing or communications-related discipline
  • Experience developing and measuring the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns
  • Experience developing impactful marketing copy and collateral
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, primarily Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Google Suite, including Gmail, Analytics and Ads
  • Experience with social media and managing pay-per-click advertisement
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
  • Team-player that loves to get things done
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or medical education industry an asset
  • Experience with Adobe In-Design and Photoshop an asset
  • Secondary language is an asset
