The Role

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Product Marketing is responsible for leading GoFor's GTM strategy, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement.

You will play a pivotal role in spearheading the development and delivery of messaging across all channels, working cross-functionally with other marketing functions, product, customer success and sales teams to ensure that our content and messaging is executed in excellence.

You are self-driven and passionate about driving high impact business results through product marketing insights that convert into compelling customer-centric content that drives awareness and adoption.

Your ability to translate technical features into clear and concise benefits makes you a natural storyteller, product evangelist, and customer advocate. You will be working alongside a dynamic team of talented and collaborative marketers who thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.

The team leverages industry knowledge and insights to apply the most impactful B2B marketing strategies and tactics that support the company's mission and business objectives.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to serve product and feature launches
  • Be a trusted partner to the product team and relay customer, sales and market insights that influence product roadmap decisions and strategy
  • Effectively communicate GoFor's vision to targeted audiences with messaging spanning from high-level value propositions to feature-level product differentiation.
  • Ability to build an AR program from scratch, onboard AR firms, build relationships and be the expert and product spokesperson, both internally and externally, including owning all analyst relationships and briefings.
  • Ability to conduct trade press interviews. Articulate the product vision and demo our product at events.
  • Drive product positioning, naming architecture, GTM best practices, and messaging framework across all products, segmentation, and use cases.
  • Translate value propositions into industry narratives, playbooks, and effective sales enablement tools, including pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos, collateral, whitepapers and more, to empower a rapidly growing sales team.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver marketing programs, including product training, strategic initiatives, and promotional events.
  • Lead efforts to better understand our customer and competition, and leverage insights into the product marketing strategy and positioning
  • Partner with inbound marketing/content, communications, and brand teams to ensure unified marketing execution messaging, including email, paid ads, collateral, and landing page content.
  • Track success against company-wide goals, report on progress and learnings, and constantly look for ways to improve.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with a multi-product, B2B SaaS background
  • 3+ years of building and leading a team of individual contributors
  • Experience in lifecycle marketing strategy and execution
  • An understanding of pricing for SaaS and proven experience leading pricing and packaging strategies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to articulate to executives the program strategy and creative vision
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to constructive criticism.
  • You enjoy a highly collaborative team environment where there are no egos or politics, we just work together and get things done.
  • Gartner MQ, Forrester Wave experience is an asset
  • Pragmatic Marketing experience is an asset
  • Supply Chain, Logistics and Delivery experience is an asset
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to execute cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Developed the positioning and messaging for products that serve multiple use cases and personas
  • Proven track record of developing highly effective go-to-market strategies, sales presentations, and collateral for a B2B software product
  • Strong messaging skills. Ability to create or edit content at an expert level.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Strategic, analytical, and data-driven mindset
  • Develop and execute a proactive PR/AR communications strategy to expand thought leadership across trade publications, business news, and leading analysts
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment; start-up experience would be considered an asset.
  • You have a strong attention to detail.
  • You are a quick learner and adaptive to new situations.
  • When you take on something, you get it done on time.
